My main idea for this photoshoot is to document runners. This is because running is something, I participate in myself. As part of this photo-story I will try and gain access to the running track in Cheltenham and maybe a running store. This will be so that I can also take photos of the context rather than just portraits of runners. Contextual photos will include photos of running gear and landscapes. For my portrait photos I aim to find different runners of any ability and photograph them in running gear. Some of these will be action shots and some will be front on portraits. As part of my photo-story of runners I may map out a route of a 5km run and take photos as though it would be on that route. This could help ideas for a lay out for when it comes to the final product because I’ll be able to have the photos in a sufficient order. Due to covid restrictions whilst taking these photos I will have to ensure that I am wearing PPE and social distancing my models. Due to this I will also address how covid has impacted runners training.

As part of my research, I have begun to look at photo stories of other photographers taking photos of sports and individual people. One of these photo stories that I have found is about how people have been using 2 wheeled vehicles to deliver food during covid. I like the way the photographer, Andrea Capello, has taken portraits of people.

Another photo story that I have found is where photographer, Juan Trujillo Andras has taken photos of street basketball players in London. What I like about this photo project is the use of action shots. However, my project will differ from this one because I won’t have as much of a “team support” to show.

My back up plan is to photograph dog walkers. I will keep a similar idea to my main idea for how i will be shooting this project, however i will be using the dog and the dog owner fro my portraits. if this idea is unsuccessful i will create a blog post planning out another idea.
