AD4803 (Studio): Photoshoot 2 Photos

As part of my module i have continued to focus on friends and family, in this second photoshoot i have focused on making the portraits more intense, i have followed this idea by having a black background and have aimed to create a "back-lit" effect. This took me a while to figure out, however, i am really happy with the outcome of it and will continue to follow the idea of having a black background.

This is one of my photos that I have taken. This was taken before i had the lighting behind the subject, i have used this one to edit as it is a good photo to compare with the photos where i have successfully had a back lit affect. What i like about this photo is how there is a contrast between the subjects bright coat and the black background.

This photo is a mid shot of my model where i have successfully lit up her face right and also have created the light effect behind her head. I have gone for this lighting effect in my photo because i wanted to experiment with different kinds of lighting. What i like about this lighting is that it has highlighted the hairs of the subject.

For this photo i have used the same technique but this shot is closer to the subjects face. I prefer these photos to the first shot because i think that the light behind the subject has made the portrait have a much more intense look which is what i was aiming for.
