Image shot on an overcast day

Shadows and Highlights:

In this photo i have adjusted the shadows and highlights. This resulted in me making the sky brighter and the objects clearer. this task has been successful because i have made the photo clearer. Next time i will include more scenery in the photo rather than framing through a window to see how that turns out.

In this photo i have adjusted the curves. This has resulted in the photo looking a lot darker compared to the original one. next time when i use the curves i will adjust them accordingly to the lighting in the photo and i will aim to make it clearer. This will be more effective because it will make the photo look better. Below i have inserted the original image.

Image shot under tungsten light

This is a photo taken, which has been lit by a tungsten light. i struggled with this task due to the limited light source and think that i need to improve the images produced. When i was editing this image i adjusted the levels, however i struggled with the white balance. The levels made the area where the light is brighter and more obvious. Next time i will concentrate more on improving the white balance. this will be useful to me so that the next time i use tungsten lighting it is more successful

Portrait shot on a sunny day

This is a portrait which has been taken on a sunny day. to edit this photo i have adjusted the levels of the photo in order to highlight the features on the persons face and clothing. This task has been successful because it has made parts of the photo stand out more. Next time i will try to get more shadows on the subjects face so that i can highlight the light and make it more obvious that it is a sunny day. (I have inserted the original image below)

Photoshop Actions:

For this image i had to increase the image size and brightness both by 10% ands also auto adjust the levels and curves. This has made the shadows in the image darker and the colour of the grass stand out more. This has been effective because it has given the photo a brighter look.
