AD4805: Research on the AOP and NUJ

The Association of Photography

The AOP is an organisation set up for photographers who have to buy a membership to be part of the association. This membership is offered to any photographers or photography agencies. The AOP aims to promote its members and protect them and the industry. The association offers opportunities to its members such as awards where photographers will be able to promote work and begin to gain recognition. Being a part of this organisation will benefit me as as photographer because it will offer me guidance on the industry and starting a business.

National Union of Journalists

The NUJ is an organisation set up for all journalists. This includes journalists for newspapers, magazines, books and photojournalists. The NUJ aim to protect and promote journalists and photojournalists. Being a part of the NUJ comes with a handful of benefits which includes press freedom and legal support, this makes it easier for photographers and journalists to tackle any problems that they may come across while working.
