AD5805: The Importance of moving image

Altogether I have found learning moving image and having to create a documentary challenging but it has also been beneficial as it will be important to the career path I want to take. Moving Image is important for modern photojournalists and documentary photographers because as the industry develops employers will be looking for photographers with a wide range of skills including, photography, photo editing, video making and video editing. Having an understanding of the basics of moving image will help me to develop as a photographer because it gives me a chance to stand out compared to other photographers who could go up against me in jobs. As well as doing still image, learning moving image and creating documentaries could open up a new career path if there’s enough enjoyment for it, this will be beneficial because it means that I can go for jobs that focus on moving image as well as just taking photo. This is good as it will offer more opportunities to me in the industry.
