The Road to Glory:

At the start of my project research one of the books i looked at at first was the portrait book on Britain's Paralympian's called "The Road To Glory". This project focuses on the different Paralympian stars and their sports. Throughout the book there are a number of portraits of the people clearly showing their sports. Either holding the equipment they have if they use equipment or they are perming the sport. What i liked about the photos in this book are the dark, intense colours giving the people a powerful and strong look. The photographer has also used a range of interesting angles, making the camera look up at the keeping the strong and powerful look and showing that these people are inspirational. In my own book i plan to make photos that i want people to pay more attention to.

Throughout the book text has also been used to explain the sporting events, say who they people are and quote them. This makes the book more personal and shows the motivation of the athletes and educates people on their sports. I like the idea of text, however i don't plan to use as. much text through out my book. This is because i want it to reach a wider audience and due to my project being about football fans, if i were to use text around the project theme, it may only interest people who are interested in football.
