Watching the World cup:
Watching the World Cup is a photo project based around the 2014 World Cup taken by Jane Stockdale and the releasing a photobook with Damian Platt in 2018. This project looks in to the football culture in Brazil when they hosted the world cup. This comes after the year before when people were protesting the country's spending on the Stadium but however the people in the country and the visitors came together to celebrate the event. The photos show the emotions and people coming together to watch the matches in public and in family homes. The project looks at different places of Brazil, including the streets, beaches and poorer, more dangerous areas.

Here are some extra photos taken for the project. What stands out to me the most are the bright colours, i will struggle to get this due to the dark lighting of the country. I plan to try and show different clubs so that there is a comparison on the different supporters of clubs. Above i have included different types of photos as i want to get a mix of locations if possible and how close in i am to the supporters of football clubs. This will help to ensure that the photos in the project aren't repetitive and looking as though they are just of football supporters.
